Abstract

The study explores integrating a sensor-based conveyor system with metal detection technology into a plastic shredder for superior junkshops. The aim is to improve recycling efficiency by optimizing waste management processes and reducing manual labor and operational inefficiencies. The integration aims to propel superior junkshops, notably Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprises, towards a more effective and economically viable approach to recycling plastic waste, contributing to environmental preservation and resource conservation. Conveyor systems with integrated metal detection mechanisms represent a groundbreaking advancement in plastic recycling within scrapyards. The conveyor system separates three types of contaminants: small rocks, nails, and bottle cups, using metal detection and magnetic separators. The findings indicate the success rate and a strong and dependable sorting mechanism. Ensuring the conveyor system effectively detects and eliminates all metal impurities from the plastic material leads to improved output quality. It focuses on improving infrastructure and updating industries to ensure sustainability, by enhancing resource-use efficiency and promoting the use of clean, eco-friendly technologies and industrial processes.
